Well, everyone seems to have arrived safely to Austin, Texas. Hook em' horns! The hotel, the Radisson is very nice and we each have our own rooms during our stay here, although for the remainder of the trip we will have doubles. The group went out to dinner at Dona Emilias South American Cuisine Restaurant. Yum! There were four tables of six people each. We each could get 2 drinks (mojitos, sangria, wine, etc.). There were some appetizers to share (calamari and empanadas) and we could choose a salad (garden or ceasar), entree (llapingachos, beef or fish) and dessert (flan or tres leches cake). The food was delicious and it was a nice chance to get acquainted with some of the members of our group. Everyone seems really nice, intelligent and interesting. Many people have been on numerous travel/study programs for teachers, and some have even been on other Fulbright programs. After dinner people walked back to the hotel and called it a night!
